Hope for the Fatherless International

The Executive Team

The Hope for the Fatherless executive team has been shaped and molded by God during their professional journeys for such a time as this.

“Some ministries do not equally yoke passionate, visionary leadership with administrative disciplines. However, as we read the Scripture’s accounts of Joseph, Daniel and Nehemiah, in each case we note that the gifts of administration and governance are firmly demonstrated in these men prior to the ministry impact for which they are most widely known. There is an increasing desire among all of us who are foundation donors to support those ministries that evidence both vision and discipline.” (A wise observation from Randy Samelson, a philanthropist and founder of the Christian foundation Counsel and Capital, during an interview with The Gathering, www.thegathering.com.)

Gifted with almost 20 years of experience in the business and nonprofit communities, God has brought together an ideal mix in Hope for the Fatherless’ core team of servant leaders, executive management wisdom, creative marketing savvy, astute administrative capabilities, practical operational know-how and an intimate knowledge of indigenous churches, ministries and leaders poised to engage the fields of the fatherless:

Truong Paul Pham, CMA, Founder & Executive Director

Paul is an international ministry veteran of more than 12 years with extensive knowledge of indigenous church planting movements and ministry programs throughout South East Asia. With a portfolio of accounting, budgeting and information technology experience, Paul’s project planning, financial forecasting, business analysis and administrative skills are a rare find in ministry environments. Orphaned in Vietnam after loosing both parents during the Vietnam War, Paul’s personal testimony includes the experience of receiving ministry “sponsorship” support as an orphan. Paul holds a Certified Management Accountant certificate from the Society of Management Accountants of Canada (equivalent of an American CPA)and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia. Paul has been married for four years to his wife, Sharon, who is also from Vietnam, and they have two children: Ethan and Elia. They are both very active in the Vietnamese Church community in the Dallas area.

Daniel A. La Bry, Founder & President

Daniel is an accomplished nonprofit management executive and advancement professional recognized for his implementation know-how and creative savvy. More than 18 years in not-for-profit settings as part of senior management teams underscore a demonstrated ability to initiate collaborative efforts and to develop strategic alliances to maximize the use of available resources and expand organizational capacity. He has a proven track record in Board development, major donor relations and foundation partnerships. He has held marketing, media relations and institutional advancement positions at a variety of nonprofits, including serving as a nonprofit management consultant helping ministries create funding strategies and operational plans. When not volunteering for Hope for the Fatherless, he serves as the Director of Partner Development for Silas Partners (www.silaspartners.org), one of the leading web ministry consulting groups in the country. Daniel's ministry travels have included Cuba, China, Vietnam and Cambodia. He holds a graduate certificate in nonprofit management from George Mason University and a bachelor in journalism & marketing communications from Texas A&M University. Daniel, his wife Angela, and four children -- Jordan, Joshua, Faith and Jonathan -- reside in the Dallas Metropolitan area … and are all very active in their church, First Baptist Church Little Elm.

In addition to Danny and Paul shepherding the conceptualization, formation and launch of the ministry, they have already identified experienced and capable Christian professionals both domestically and internationally that are already assisting in implementing Hope for the Fatherless’ objectives.

Their professional networks span every capability the ministry needs from writing and marketing services to overseas sourcing and manufacturing to on the ground implementation and oversight in a number of partner countries.

One common characteristic unifies this network of ministry professionals and their commitment to what Hope for the Fatherless is trying to achieve — the belief that the most effective ministry begins and ends with the local church.

Each of us understands that God is at work through local indigenous churches engaged in the front lines of the expansion of His Kingdom — and that the Church in North America has more to learn from these indigenous leaders than we can ever hope to teach them.

We have each seen Jesus’ hands and feet in action through the indigenous church, and we have been forever changed.
