Hope for the Fatherless launched its efforts in Spring 2006. Building on more than 10 years of extensive work with and intimate knowledge of indigenous church planting and ministry efforts in Southeast Asia and China -- and a common love and concern for the fields of the fatherless (Deut 14:28-29, 24:19-22) in these regions -- the Hope for the Fatherless team came together out of a recognition that the most effective long-term strategy for caring for orphans internationally is to engage and equip the local indigenous churches there.
