Hope for the Fatherless International

OUR VISION: To see God’s scripturally defined intent for His people to care for orphans fulfilled … to see orphans grasp the hope and a future provided through Jesus Christ … and to spark the spiritual renewal and blessing that come from working in the fields of the fatherless.

OUR MISSION: Recognizing this call, the Hope for the Fatherless team is committed to sharing the life-changing grace of Jesus Christ with orphans by caring for their physical, spiritual, educational and social needs to give them hope and a future.

OUR GOALS: This mission will be accomplished through two core goals which will drive all that Hope for the Fatherless does:

1) Awaken the heart of the Church in North America to ignite an eagerness to look after orphans in their distress by:

1a) increasing the Church’s understanding of God’s biblical mandate to care for the fatherless,

1b) advocating for the needs of the fatherless in the Church, and

1c) connecting the Body of Christ in North America with the fields of the fatherless through accountable, God-honoring opportunities with indigenous churches and believers committed to caring for orphans and sharing the hope found in Jesus Christ.

2) Serve as a catalyst for collaboration among domestic and indigenous ministries to strengthen their service in the fields of the fatherless by:

2a) sharing best practices and programmatic models to encourage orphan-focused mission efforts and the replication of those programs in other countries,

2b) facilitating and providing the infrastructure for the formation of orphan-focused “micro-ministries,”

2c) creating opportunities for multiple orphan-focused organizations to leverage their gifts & talents and limited resources in a way that it increases the organizational capacity of all those involved, and

2d) partnering on projects and funding opportunities that bring benefit to the entire orphan ministry community.

OUR FRUIT: Hope for the Fatherless is prayerful and confident that the God-honoring results of our labors will include:

- a God-sized outpouring of child & orphanage assistance,

- the ongoing presence of local indigenous churches in thousands of orphanages and foster homes to continually reveal to orphans the hope found in Jesus Christ,

- the incubation and amplification of hundreds of accountable and trustworthy indigenously-based, self-sustaining ministries to provide ongoing care for orphans,

- a substantial surge in the number of church-based orphan objectives in their missions programs and in the creation of “micro-ministries” focused on orphans,

- a noteworthy increase in adoptions of orphans into Christian families who are active in their churches, and

- spiritual renewal and growth that comes from being directly connected to God’s work in the fields of the fatherless.
